A Scottish actress and comedian, Wendy launched her comedy career in 2004, getting to the final of Funny Women and semi-finals of So You Think You’re Funny at the Edinburgh Fringe the following year. She was already an established actress with roles in Coupling and the IT Crowd working with everyone from Chris O’Dowd and Nicholas Lyndhurst to Johnny Depp and John Malkovich. February 2014 saw Wendy nominated for best actress in Hollywood for British Hustle, the Toscars spoof.
Whilst her acting career continues, her comedy career has taken off. 2008 saw Wendy in America on NBC’s Last Comic Standing and was also the year she did her first one-woman show at The Edinburgh Festival: Things I Didn’t Know. Her charisma and wit ensured packed houses. After the success of that she returned with three further solo shows culminating with this year’s knock out show, Hotel California. She has performed in all the major UK clubs such as Just the Tonic, The Glee Club, The Comedy Store, The Stand, and Laughter House in Dublin. In 2012 she was invited to the New York Comedy Festival and charmed audiences there too. She currently performs as part of The Cutting Edge at The Comedy Store in London and has written and stars in her own sitcom for BBC Scotland – Half My Age Plus Seven, due for broadcast in October 2014 and she writes for the Huffington Post.
Wendy joins James Mackenzie, playing his on-screen wife, and mother to Maya, Lucy Hedges.

We can officially announce that Raven star James Mackenzie has joined our cast!
He has worked for many theatre companies including The National Theatre of Scotland, The Tron, The Royal Lyceum Theatre, Stellar Quines, Oran Mor, and Random Accomplice to name but a few and has performed all over the country in everything from Macbeth to Sunshine On Leith the Musical.
His TV credits include; Double BAFTA award winning CBBC series Raven, River City (series regular Gary Trenton), Danni’s House, Still Game (BBC) Rebus & Taggart (STV).
James is delighted to be joining the cast of the award winning Cops and Monsters playing the Role of Neil Hedges. Here’s what he has to say about his casting – “It’s an exciting, fast paced, new web series gaining fans across the internet, it’d be silly not to be a part of it. Especially when fellow actors friends like Colin McCredie, Katrina Bryan, and Sophie Aldred give it high praise. “Let the challenge begin” as my feathered alter ego might say!!”
We will soon be announcing who is playing Lucy, Neil’s wife and Maya’s mum.

Set directly after “Revolution in a Teacup” the episode sees the PITS team receiving a horrifying video message from The Cult of Many Faces as he continues to torture one of their own, Martin Carmichael, sending Maya Hedges into a rage of desperation. Meanwhile Alexis is forced to face her own humanity at supernatural support group, “Fight the Bite”, while Mr. Clark steps up his plan to manipulate Grace’s fiance, Alicia Hughes, into helping him discredit the PITS department.

Written by Laura Anderson, the episode continues directly on from “Revolution in a Teacup”, and sees the PITS team receive a harrowing message from The Cult of Many Faces regarding Martin Carmichael’s fate, spinning Maya Hedges into turmoil and desperation. Meanwhile Jonathan Clark, the Minister of Justice, takes matters into his own hands as he tries to discredit the work of the PITS department for his own gain…
