Production Photos – 3 Weeks Left On Our Crowdfunding Campaign

We’ve added new photos from last weekend’s shoot from our upcoming episode, “Trapped”, starring Katrina Bryan, Victoria Gibson and Joanna Harte.

The episode has been edited and is currently sitting at 10 minutes and 25 seconds. Now visual effects, sound design and music are to be added and we hope to release it later on in the year.

Three weeks remain for us to raise a total of £3300 in order to produce our 9th and series finale, “Inhuman Nature”. So far we’ve raised £1102, meaning we’ve got £2198 to raise in 21 days. In order to raise this amount we’ve added associate producer perks which will get you a credit on our IMDb page, the full series on DVD and a signed script. This costs £100 each and we have 5 left. There’s also the Executive Producer perk which gives you the same plus a set of signed cast photos for £300. We have 10 of these available.

Of course we’ve got other perks ranging from £1 to £1000 including – set visits, walk on roles, be a monster, mug shot perks, signed photos, scripts, series DVDs, series blu-rays, signed props, posters, t-shirts and much much more. Click this link to head to our Kickstarter to find out more.

Hopefully we will hit our goal in time and in May we can shoot our final episode over 3 days and finish the story!

We have 23 days left to raise the remaining £2228 in order to shoot our series finale, “Inhuman Nature”, which will wrap up the Lycan A202 storyline and see Maya Hedges confront Alexis and The Cult of Many Faces, finding out the truth about her parents!

Working with the SAE – An Interview with the SAE Students

Since shooting episode 4, “Revolution in a Teacup”, we have opened our doors to the students of SAE Glasgow, welcoming the students who are studying film, sound, makeup, etc, on to our sets.

For “Trapped”, our 8th episode to be shot, we have Spencer Wilson working as a shadow producer for Lindsay Dowell, Alyn Smith working with our on set photographer Sonja Bleitshchau, Christopher Wild working with our AD Alan Dakers as our 2nd Assistant Director, Miles Trotter as our on set runner and Stuart Abercrombie working with our sound recordist Robert Newth as his assistant and also as a sound recordist for the first half of the day.

Zarah Hill kindly filmed Christopher and Alyn, interviewing them on set of our new episode.

The students were absolutely fantastic to work with – extremely on the ball and resourceful, happy to get their hands dirty and get involved with the shoot.

Thank you to Joanne Ebuwa at the SAE for introducing us to the students.

For more information on the courses they provide please visit http://www.sae.edu/gbr/campuses/glasgow

If we are successful in our crowdfunding campaign for our series finale, we’d love to invite more film students to join our set and shadow the team. To find out how to help us make the next episode, click here. The campaign will be running until April 30th where if we have raised £3300 we will be able to make our finale.

Series 1 Finale Kickstarter Has Launched – Crowdfunded Web Series

We have officially launched the Kickstarter campaign for our series 1 finale, “Inhuman Nature”.

The episode will see the story that started in “The New Recruit” come to a head as Maya Hedges confronts The Cult of Many Faces and his personal werewolf assassin, Alexis.

We’ve got set visits, walk-on-roles, voice-over perks, signed DVDs, blu-rays, posters, signed scripts, artwork, soundtracks, mugshot perks and more! You can claim your perk now by clicking this link.

The campaign will run until April 30th where we will only be successful if we raise the £3300 we’ve set as our goal. No money will be taken from your account until this date. All perks are shipped worldwide for free.

All of our main cast are due to reprise their roles for the final episode and we’re currently casting for the role of Neil and Lucy Hedges, Maya’s parents.

Rachel Teate and Leona Kate Vaughan from Wolfblood are returning as troubled couple Grace Mackenzie and Alicia Hughes.

Episode 6, “Fight the Bite”, will be released shortly and hopefully, if we hit our crowdfunding target, we’ll shoot the final episode over 3 days at the end of May.

“Trapped” to film this weekend – Scottish filmmaking – Glasgow Webseries

This weekend will see the Cops and Monsters team return to filming for our brand new episode, “Trapped”.

When a routine inspection of a werewolf safe-house is interrupted by a notorious hunter, PITS officer Astrid Bennett must work together with Jenny, who runs a werewolf pack meeting, to get out alive!

We’ll be filming in the Kirkshaws Community Centre in Coatbridge with a full crew, including several students from the SAE Institute in Glasgow. We’re also welcoming other students on board to shadow our crew to gain on-set experience for their courses.

“Nina and the Neurons” star Katrina Bryan is reprising her role as caring werewolf Jenny Connor, as is Joanna Harte, who returns as PITS officer Astrid Bennett. For those who are wondering how that’s possible after the ending of “Astrid’s Secret“, this episode takes place a few months before the events of that episode.

Katrina and Joanna will be joined by Victoria Gibson (Detective George Gently, DCI Banks) who will be playing Karis Jones, the notorious werewolf hunter!

We’ll be taking pictures and posting them on our Twitter account throughout the shoot on Sunday, and some photos from our rehearsal on Saturday. Follow us on Twitter by clicking here.

Tomorrow (Friday 31st) we’ll be launching our series finale Kickstarter to raise £3300 so that we can shoot our final episode of series 1 at the end of May so please do spread the word and pledge if you can. Thank you.

Hopefully we’ll be able to release the episode by the end of April.

We’ll be shooting episode 8, “Trapped”, on the 2nd of April and aim to release it later in the year.

On March 31st we’ll be launching our Kickstarter campaign to raise £3300 to shoot our series 1 finale, “Inhuman Nature”.

Chris Bain Interview – Scottish Actor Interviews

Scottish actor Chris Bain discusses his role as Jonathan Clark, Minister of Justice, in our upcoming episode, “Fight the Bite”.

The visual effects for the episode are currently being worked on and then we will be sending the episode off for music composition and sound design.

Once it’s complete we’ll set a release date and send a private link to all of our backers!

“Trapped”, the 8th episode of Volume 1, is due to be filmed on the 2nd of April and set for release sometime in Spring.

On March 31st we will be launching our Kickstarter campaign to raise £3300 to shoot and edit our series 1 finale, “Inhuman Nature”.

The Series 1 Finale – What Happens Next

It’s taken us a couple of years, with a lot of planning in place, and here we are, the home stretch. We’ve started planning the production for our series 1 finale, “InHuman Nature”!

Officially our 9th episode since 2014, “InHuman Nature”, will bring to an end our first series as Maya Hedges will find the truth about her parents and why they were murdered, along with confronting The Cult of Many Faces and his killer werewolf assassin, Alexis.

The script is currently being written and the production team have made the decision to shoot the episode over the course of three days, to allow us to work in a timely manner with our cast and crew to ensure we can deliver the best episode possible. This does however mean that our budget will be a little bit higher than previous episodes, to make sure we can afford to pay our cast and crew, pay for costumes and props, special effects makeup, editing, sound design, music compositions and visual effects.

On March 31st we will be launching our Kickstarter campaign to raise at least £3300 to cover the three day shoot and all costs incurred. All the usual perks will be made available, with some extras, and we will pushing hard on social media to give us the best chance to hit the goal by April 30th otherwise we will not be able to make the episode happen.

In the meantime you can watch all of our finished episodes by clicking this link along with behind the scenes interviews and more.

Episode 7, “Fight the Bite”, will be released in April and episode 8, “Trapped”, will be released sometime after that.
