Cops and Monsters Vs Film Festivals

With series 1 nearly at a close with our final episode, “Inhuman Nature”, in post-production, we look ahead at promoting the show further a field to expand our fan base.

One way in which we do this is to submit the series to film festivals around the world. We’ve already been accepted to Web Fest New York, Los Angeles Film Awards and WRPN.TV Global Webisode Festivals – of which we have won a recognition award and “best web series” award so far.

Now we’ve entered the Deep Fried Film Festival and MystiCon SciFi Horror Film Festival where hopefully we will be selected and our pilot episode will be screened.

We’re still waiting to hear from Raindance Web Festival and the UK Film Festival, so fingers crossed!

Time is running out for you to buy your tickets for our series 1 screening in Glasgow on the 12th of August, and you can buy them at this link.

Catch up below with our first 8 episodes before we release the series finale!

Series 1 Updates

“Cops and Monsters” series 1 is nearly at an end… *sniff* but what a journey it’s been. 2 years and 8 episodes, all raised via crowdfunding campaigns thanks to our brilliant supporters!

But there is so much happening before we release “Inhuman Nature” and wrap up the storylines for this series.

We’ve released a special behind the scenes for our new episode, “Trapped”, with interviews from the cast and crew. You can watch it below:

You can join the cast and crew at our Exclusive Cinema Screening on the 12th of August 7pm in Glasgow as we screen the entire first series, ending with the premiere of our series 1 finale, “Inhuman Nature”. Tickets are £15 and can be bought at this very link.

Or you can pre-order the series 1 DVD and blu-ray by visiting our merchandise page!

We’ll be at MCM Comic Con Scotland this September and Coventry Comic Con in October so be sure to come say hello, join in on our panel and meet the cast and crew!

And if that’s not enough, just wait until we release our series 1 finale and all the very special features that will be coming along with that…

Trapped Updates

Our next episode, “Trapped”, a spin-off minisode starring Katrina Bryan, Joanna Harte and Victoria Gibson, is currently in post production.

The episode has now been colour graded and the score and sound effects are being completed. Once this is done we will be sending a private link to our backers before making up DVDs and blu-rays for those who supported our Kickstarter campaign. Then a date will be set for the episode to be released to the public.

We will be holding a red carpet event in Glasgow in August where all of our episodes will be screened for our cast and crew, plus invited guests. Tickets will be made available shortly so please keep an eye on our social media pages and official website for details.

With episode 9, our series 1 finale, now complete and being edited, we would like to thank every single backer and supporter who has helped made series 1 possible.

We are currently accepting spec scripts from potential series 2 writers and we hope to start funding our 6-part series early next year to film in Spring/Summer 2018.

Thank you again for all of your support and love from everybody at Cops and Monsters.

Cops and Monsters – Series 1 is Wrapped!

Cops and Monsters series 1 is officially wrapped!

9 episodes later, 2 and a half years in the making, it’s done!

“Inhuman Nature”, the final part of this story, was shot over the 21st, 27th and 28th of May with the most cast we’ve ever had on board.

We had an amazing time shooting it and we can’t wait for you all to see it.

A screening is being planned for all of the episodes, in Glasgow, in August, with limited tickets being made available. Once we have confirmed the details we’ll put a post up about it here, on Twitter and Facebook.

Thank you to EVERYBODY who has supported us, been in the show, worked on it, pledged to our campaigns and been awesome. We would not have a show without you!

We will be hiring writers for series 2, which we hope to shoot next year. If you’d like to know how to get involved, click here.
